Where do I start?
Schedule a one-hour complementary consult appointment in your home. We will discuss your ideas and see the physical space that you have to work with. Be prepared to spend 15-20 minutes with us on the phone before we agree to a meeting to make sure our Services are right for you.
What are things we discuss at our first meeting?
Project details: We will work to understand what you are wanting to accomplish. Timeline: We will discuss when you would like the project completed and determine how that will fit into our schedule. Budget: To optimize the best solution for your needs, we will need a ballpark budget. This information is crucial in helping us keep our recommendations in alignment with your finances.
How soon can you start on my project?
We are a first-come, first-serve company. Once we receive a down payment from you, we can start the bidding process. It can take 3-6 weeks to get bids back from our trade partners. If you approve the final pricing, we can add you to our schedule. We will start your project after the one before yours is complete. You will receive a target start date from your Project Manager.
I am pretty handy, can I do some of the work myself?
Yes, you can do some of the work on your project to reduce some labor cost. Certain terms and conditions apply to this option. Leading Construction can create a tailored package to suit your needs.
Can I be my own General Contractor?
Yes,  it is possible to act as your own general contractor to reduce some of the costs associated with your project. Certain terms and conditions apply to this option. Leading Construction can create a tailored package to suit your needs. ***Please keep in mind: Most homeowners find hiring us for our general contracting services translates to cost savings and faster project completion. With our preferred trade partners, we can secure discount pricing and preferential timing for services. This ensures faster site readiness compared to independent management and often reduces cost, oversights, and scheduling delays in the long run.
If you design my floorplan, can I have other builders build it?
Upon your full payment, you will receive a downloadable PDF file that can be utilized for obtaining bids from other builders and acquiring building permits. It serves as a valuable tool for your project needs. Â However, please note that the rights to our original designs remain the property of Leading Construction LLC. We retain sole discretion over the end use of our design drawings.
What kind of materials will be used for my project?
As a custom design-build company, you have the flexibility to choose materials and finishes that suit your preferences for your project. Our on-staff interior designer is available to assist with selections, ensuring you get the best products tailored to your needs – and they'll look great too!
Can Leading Construction assist with modular homes?
We can help you prepare your site for modular placement. We can also help you add a basement or slab, frame in rooms, and build a garage or deck.
Do you offer a warranty?
We offer a 1-year limited warranty on all of our materials and labor. Our sub-contractors may have separate warranty terms. We will provide all warranty files for your records at the end of your project.
